Today is world cancer day. I awoke this day remembering loved ones that I lost to the dreaded disease- cancer. If only I can turn back the hand of time and had the power to keep one alive, I would not let cancer touch any of my own.
Thumbs up to WHO for their supports in promoting ways to ease the global burden of cancer, and to many who are in one way or the other “standing up” against this global nightmare.
WHO estimates that 84 million people will die of cancer between 2005 and 2015 without intervention. Preventing cancer and raising the quality of life for cancer patients is a major theme for most cancer related researches.
As a young child, I was taught that prevention is better than cure. If cancer didn’t occur, there will be no need to worry about curing cancer.
I dream of a world free of cancer
